Stavo concludendo l'acquisto di materiale astronomico vario per un valore di circa 1500 euro con un tipo polacco conosciuto tramite un forum specializzato. La contrattazione via email procede bene fino a quando mi scrive così:

"The buy it now price/option is available only through eBay Buyer Protection Program. The transaction will be handled through eBay. If you are willing to buy the item please email me with the following: your full name, full address, eBay user name and phone number. So i can contact eBay to start the transaction through their Buyer Protection Program. eBay will send us the invoices with all the instruction how to complete this transaction."

Vorrei sapere da qualcuno di voi se ha mai sentito parlare di questo "eBay Buyer Protection Program" a cui lui accenna.

E' una truffa!

Se ci fosse davvero eBay di mezzo (e non è così te lo garantisco) non avrebbe bisogno di tutti quei dati perchè basterebbe il tuo ID per interrogarli nel database.
