Dac7 question
But by when does eBay report to the tax agency the details of every seller who has exceeded the thresholds?
Another question: if, for example, in 2024 I did not exceed the thresholds for eBay to report my account to the tax authorities, then at the start of 2025 if I start selling again is it as if everything resets and I start from 0 with the 30 sales and 2000 euros?

·1 year agoI saw that you closed all the listings
From the expired listings there are 20 results amounting to about 900 euros worth of items sold in two months between November and December.
If you want to keep up with DAC7, you might as well close the shop because 20 sales between November and December out of 30 annually, I think you would exceed the thresholds within 3 months.
The tax agency will receive notification of the sales you make, and very likely the CONTINUOUS selling activity will also be highlighted.
Then it is not known whether it will be reported that you sell exclusively NEW items, as opposed to a true private seller who sells exclusively USED items.
Nobody knows for certain what kind of data will be sent to the tax agency.
There is a difference between selling a single item for 2000 euros and making continuous sales throughout the whole year.
There is a difference between selling used items and selling new items.
But I could be wrong because maybe these details will not be highlighted.
What the tax agency will want to do with all these sellers without a VAT number is still not known for sure.
But I think we'll find out soon
Best regards.

OP1 year agoAs you said, between November and December I made almost 30 sales and got close to 2000 euros, but my question is: since in 2024 I didn't exceed the minimum requirements of 30 sales and 2000 euros, if I start selling again from January 1, 2025, everything should reset to 0, so I would have 30 sales and 2000 again before eBay sends my data in 2026, or am I wrong?
Or do these thresholds not reset and it just continues from where I left off with the 30 sales and 2000 euros?

·1 year agoYes, the thresholds should reset at the end of 2024 and start again from zero in 2025.
But I’ll repeat that with the volume of sales you have, I don’t really see the point of staying below the DAC7 thresholds
Will you list with your account for the first two or three months of 2025, then once you’ve exceeded the thresholds you’ll put the account on standby waiting for 2026?
Honestly, I don’t see the point of setting up a shop and only running it for two or three months.
Because at that point you’d then have to open another account under a different name with another bank account registered to someone other than you.
Anyway, if you have all this patience, you could also do it this way while staying within the DAC7 limits.
How would you want to handle it?
Kind regards.
