New stamps with postmark
I'm a newbie, forgive me. Is it possible that there are canceled stamps, even if they're new?? if so, how are they classified?
Thanks for the answer

·2 years agoI think you mean the stamps that come out of the post office and are stamped directly without “going through” the letter; they are usually classified as used
even though now a small distinction has to be made between those with gum and those that are self-adhesive

·2 years agoAre you sure you're a newbie? Are you really a newbie? There are new issues with postmarks requested by private entities or others, for a particularly important event or one of public interest. They are highly sought after by collectors. A historical example was the postmark on the image of King Ferdinand in the Bourbon kingdom, made in a horseshoe shape so as not to spoil his face. I don't know if anyone here owns a copy. Very, very coveted and of great value. Best regards from von.
