request to contact a user
Summary: The discussion concerns a request to contact a user, but the specific details of the messages were not provided.
good morning everyone, I hope someone here can help me. I would like to get in touch with an eBay user (whose ID I know because the seller kindly told me who bought it and where the item ended up) because I need to ask them if they can provide me with some data that appears in a magazine they bought. These are data relating to a car, very rare and special, which I am interested in, and unfortunately I only saw after the auction had ended that this issue of the magazine in question was up for sale. I tried to follow the steps indicated also on Google for this type of search, but it seems that it is not possible because it does not allow me to contact users, only sellers. Now, if someone here knows what the steps are on eBay to be able to get in touch with this buyer, I would be truly grateful. many thanks

·5 months agoYou can contact another username via the contact button found in an eBay user’s profile (I don’t know what you mean by ID)
Then select the option "This is not about an item"
If my answer isn’t useful because I wasn’t able to understand your question, try rephrasing it or wait for the response from another user who understood your question.
Kind regards.

·5 months agoAlready the fact that the seller gave you the customer's ID in plain text is against eBay's rules (and not for nothing, in their sales history, the IDs are hidden).
And in any case: if the user in question doesn't have any items for sale, you can't contact them (and to do so, you'd use the page for one of their listings, which has nothing to do with your request and so they might not even reply...).
