Refund for unshipped product

Hi, I bought an item through an offer that the user accepted almost immediately. However, after payment they are not responding to the numerous messages and the item appears not to have been shipped. I requested cancellation, but I would like to be sure I receive the refund since I found another user selling the same item who does respond to messages and seems definitely more reliable.

as indicated by Sika (and as stated in the Ebay rules...... assuming they are actually read, especially by those who post these questions......), the buyer CANNOT cancel on their own initiative...

so:

either ask the seller to cancel, hoping they accept your request...

or you have to wait until..... :

1) the item is shipped and arrives within the delivery timeframe indicated in the listing or...

2) the item does not arrive within the expected timeframe; in this case you will have to open a dispute for item not delivered.....

roughly speaking this is it...... then there are special cases.....

You can’t cancel the order... you can only ask the seller to do it, but they’re not obliged to accommodate you.

To be sure of getting a refund, you need to wait until the estimated delivery date has passed, after which you can open a report:

In fact, I simply sent the cancellation request, which the seller still has to confirm, except he hasn't replied to any of the messages I sent him. And yet when it was time to accept my offer, he accepted right away...

Hi gagra_616

The cancellation request is not mandatory but optional (at the seller's discretion).

If the seller doesn't cancel the order, doesn't ship it, and keeps not replying, you need to refer to the maximum delivery estimates.

Starting from the latest estimated delivery date, you can open a claim for an item not received.
