sales from the USA to Italy
Summary: 0712luc expressed concern about the non-delivery of items purchased from U.S. sellers enrolled in the eBay International Shipping program, noting that they did not pass inspection at the international hub. This problem had not occurred before with similar items, leading 0712luc to wonder whether there were new regulations, perhaps related to safety or military secrecy issues. marioelegio explained that the parcels go through the Glendale Heights center, run by Easyship and Sincro, where they are inspected before being shipped internationally. 0712luc suspected the changes might be linked to decisions by the Trump administration and asked eBay to clarify the export rules to avoid future inconvenience.
I’d like to know why, twice in a row, one item each from 2 different USA sellers was liquidated (item liquidated or deleted) with this wording: It is not possible to deliver your item because it did not pass inspection at our international center.
while the email said: We inform you that unfortunately this item cannot be shipped internationally. I had bought the same items months ago without any problems and never had issues with technological items from the USA, and I’ve bought a lot of them, old stuff for enthusiasts. The sellers themselves were surprised by it, it had never happened before! The items in question are 2 electronic measuring instruments from the 60s - 70s. I’d like to know whether the rules in the USA have changed for... military secret!? export of highly advanced technology!? (tube gear from the 60s-70s!!!) I’ve already written to eBay, without a reply. If anyone can give me answers and also advice on how to avoid these problems (don’t tell me not to buy from the USA anymore). Thanks to anyone who can provide suggestions and information.

·2 weeks agoDepending on the interpretation of the agent inspecting the goods, the item may pass or be rejected.
The eBay international shipping center in Glendale Heights, Illinois, is run by the company Easyship and its affiliate Sincro.
These companies (as ebay partners) physically handle receiving packages from U.S. sellers, inspecting them, clearing them through customs, and forwarding them with a new international tracking number to buyers around the world (including Italy) through the eBay International Shipping (EIS) program

OP2 weeks agoI agree with what you're saying, but why had this never happened before with the same items?, and now already 2 times in a row, so I can assume that something has changed, new regulations, maybe not very clear, so the customs agents, in order not to incur penalties, as soon as they see anything electronic they reject it right away, then anyway we’ll reimburse you, but you can’t keep going with pay first, then I’ll reimburse you. Ebay should provide clear, detailed information for sellers and buyers and from the start say in the listing: it cannot be shipped outside the USA (because of possible theft of technology?) already stuff from the 60s-70s !!! I hate being able to buy something, follow the shipment only to then suddenly be disappointed and angry and waste time, even with Italian post I’ve had some great adventures !!!. I have a clear feeling that this is due to the new Trump administration, which may have imposed a ban on exporting technology. If you know anything that could help solve the problem let me know Thanks.
