Buyer changes refund method
Hello, I bought an item on eBay that turned out to be defective, I started the return process and refund request to the seller, but as the refund method the system forces me to keep the same Postepay card I used for the purchase, which in the meantime has expired. How can I change the card number to receive the possible refund?

·4 months agoThe money will arrive anyway... Either you renew it now and the remaining balance will be transferred to the new one, or you go physically to the Poste Italiane office with the Postepay and all your documents and ask to withdraw the remaining balance.

·4 months agoIf your Postepay has expired recently, it will still accept the refund of the amount paid, so you don't need to worry about this problem, since the money will go back onto the expired card.
If it is a standard Postepay (without IBAN), the options are:
1) Ask for the card to be renewed and the balance on the old card will be transferred to the new one.
2) You can go to the post office and ask to manually withdraw the remaining balance (if you decide you don't want to renew the Postepay).
This is the most practical and quickest route because if you call eBay basic support I don't think they are authorized to change these parameters on your account; they would probably forward the request to the relevant technical department, which should then get in touch with you...... but between saying and doing..... it's not certain they will, and to avoid risking waiting for a contact that never arrives, it's better to go to the post office once you have received the refund.
Kind regards.
