How come in My Ebay I can find purchases from the last 8 years and sales from only the last 3 months? Why does Ebay apply this difference in treatment between purchases and sales? Thanks.

You can customize the sales view up to a year and beyond through the "customize" history

OP9 months agoOk, thank you, I wasn’t aware of this option. It is, however, strange that I can see purchases from 2017! Cui prodest?

·9 months agoThe reasons could be different, among these there is certainly the issue of the obligation to retain data.
Legal and tax obligations
In many countries, e-commerce platforms must keep transaction data (orders, payments, shipments) for several years.
This serves for:
tax audits
legal disputes
requests from authorities
Retention periods can easily reach 10 years or more.
