Purchase from a private seller but invoice from a company, with an amount that doesn't match the price paid
Good morning,
I bought a new item from a private seller, for a price of 100 Euro. Paid with PayPal.
It was shipped by a company, not by the private seller, with an attached invoice for Euro 30.- made out to me, which is in fact the exact price for that type of article, also sold by the same company on Ebay and on other sites.
In addition, the product is stated in the listing as compatible (so, not original), but in reality it is not entirely so, since for the installation I had to make some modifications.
Can I ask for a refund of the difference between what I paid and what was correctly invoiced?

If you knew the correct price (buying from a professional seller) was 30 euro, why did you get it from a private seller for 100 euro?
You can't ask for the price difference, but you can report the seller's improper behavior (on eBay, dropshipping is allowed for businesses with commercial contracts with suppliers, but short selling by private individuals is forbidden ...... It is not allowed to list an item for sale and then buy it after the transaction is completed from another retailer or another platform and have it shipped directly to your customer).

The item is a replacement part sold as compatible, for a vintage motorcycle.
I didn't know that the item for sale was a common product for
cars, available on any auto parts site for 30 euros,
a price that I was invoiced -not by the private seller, but by the company
that shipped it to me- in return for a payment of 100 euros.
Moreover, the replacement part turned out to be not perfectly compatible with the motorcycle,
given that to install it you have to make modifications, as later admitted
by the seller as well...

Kind regards.
