Concert tickets name change
Hello, I have a doubt that I hope someone can clear up for me. I won an auction for two tickets to a concert, in which the description said they were print-at-home tickets purchased on TicketOne. After paying with PayPal, the seller changed the name on them. My doubt arose after receiving the email he forwarded to me from TicketOne, because from the email it appears that these are eticket tickets. Only afterwards did I read that eBay does not accept ticket auctions and that etickets can only be resold by people authorized by eBay itself. In the email sent to me I have the personal details of the person who changed the name on the tickets, but I have a fear.. who can guarantee that he won't make another name change or show up with my tickets that day? Is there any way I can protect myself? Thanks

·2 years agoEbay publishes what can be sold and what can't. They do checks, but obviously they can't filter everything. It's also up to buyers to pay attention; if they make careless purchases, then they don't have the protection of eBay customer guarantee.

Follow Pafispi’s advice and ask to cancel the transaction. If you can’t, try PayPal.

OP2 years agoThank you so much for the replies, I forgot to specify that no one made any bids in the auction and in the end I paid less for the ticket than the price it would have been on TicketOne. Should I still ask PayPal to cancel everything? Unfortunately my doubt is precisely about the name change and the fact that he might be able to use it that day..thank you so much

Even going through PayPal doesn’t guarantee a refund anyway.
