I received a 5% discount through a private offer from a seller. Once I accept the offer, can I also take advantage of the additional 10% discount offered by eBay on the product's base price by using it as a coupon to enter at checkout?
In the "Terms and conditions" of the latter, that is, of the 10% discount code offered by eBay (see attached screenshot) valid generally for this and many other products sold by other sellers, it says:
"The discount code cannot be used in combination with other discount codes, Site discounts, offers, gift cards, or other promotions."
But it does not clarify whether it is not applicable also to the discounted price offered to me by the Seller through a private offer, which already includes an initial discount on the product.
I would like to point out that the discount offered by the seller concerns, and is reserved for, the private relationship between the seller and me. Thanks

·7 months agoIt doesn't take the discount codes if you receive the offer from the seller.
I read the discount terms and it didn't say anywhere that it couldn't be combined with an offer received, but it still didn't apply.
I think it's like that in general.

I tried: after accepting the offer, you get to the payment step where it's possible to enter the discount code, but Ebay DID NOT accept it!
Maybe it'll be useful to someone...

·1 year agoIf the system did not accept your discount code, you need to read the terms and conditions of use of the coupon.
Every coupon is subject to terms and conditions.
