Japan Customs
Good morning, I bought an album from Japan for about 155 euros, with free shipping. I wanted to ask if anyone knows whether any VAT and various taxes will have to be paid. If so, how can I calculate it? Thanks to anyone who helps me.

FedEx asks for a minimum of 15 euros as fees to handle your customs clearance, including collection of the money.
VAT 22% for sure......
Are the shipping costs included in the 155 euros?
Then above 150 euros you also pay duties of 4~6%
But sometimes they calculate only the cost of the item excluding shipping costs. sometimes they calculate the total cost.....
An exact estimate can't be made, so keep yourself in the price range that goes from: 50 euros to 70 euros just to be on the safe side.

·2 years agoIf you didn't pay the VAT to eBay, you'll pay it on delivery, plus duties and customs charges, so figure on an extra 30/35%...

OP2 years agoI saw that it should be about 22% + 4% duties. But there’s also the flat rate of about 2.5% between private individuals.
