An amletico doubt about the eBay wording.
Hello, on Wednesday afternoon I bought 3 games, one for xbox 360 and two for ps3, I bought the 360 one right away while for the ps3 ones I made two offers, then they were accepted and so I got them shortly after. The two games were therefore bought as a single order. The 3 games were shipped the next day, Thursday, around two in the afternoon with standard post 1 (the seller sent me a photo with the package and tracking in response to the listing for the 360 one). For the ps3 ones I didn’t get any photo so I suppose he made one single package for all 3, I also asked him but he didn’t reply. Anyway, delivery is expected between the 10th and the 15th, everything is in order since on Thursday afternoon they were still on his kitchen table and they don’t deliver on Saturdays as far as I know so it was impossible for everything to already arrive. Now I’ll explain after this introduction what’s bothering me. If from my eBay instead of the summary I go to purchase history, for the two ps3 games in the single order I see the wording at the top:

OP3 years agoEverything arrived in one package about an hour ago, thank goodness... If he had replied to my message saying it’s just one package and that’s the tracking, I wouldn’t have stressed myself out (thanks eBay for not using clearer words like "combined shipping: order shipped", but as long as everything went well.

·3 years agoHi eduardo8492
I figured it was one single package with combined shipping, also because 3 separate shipments with posta1 would have cost him more.
Ebay hasn't been very clear lately with the translations, and I suspect they're using artificial intelligence to do the translations rather than a learned human.
The seller could make more of an effort to follow and complete the required procedures without making buyers anxious.
Kind regards.

·3 years agoHello eduardo8492
I’m not familiar with the wording you described; in any case, the delivery result of the post1 code is what counts
If you click on the tracking code that the seller entered on eBay, you should see that the delivery has not yet been completed.
As I imagine you know, post1 only provides the delivery result, not the full tracking.
Kind regards.

OP3 years agoHi, actually I'd never seen it either, he sent me the photo of just one code via private message which for now says the product is not available on the Poste website (so the item still has to arrive). He didn't include it at all in the listing, neither in the single Xbox 360 order nor in the double PS3 order. Anyway, I'm attaching a photo.

·3 years agoI've never seen this wording before, it's probably something fairly recent.
Honestly, I don't know why it says "order delivered" considering that you bought it on March 8th, today is the 11th, and it would have been pretty hard to receive the items already.
If the seller hasn't entered the tracking code in the designated space, it doesn't really matter all that much; what's important is that the items you bought arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

OP3 years agoIn fact, shipping on Thursday afternoon is basically the same as saying Friday morning; they don’t deliver on Saturday, then the tracking doesn’t show delivered, and even if it were only on the first item, I think it’s strange to deliver them separately given the same seller and the same date. Maybe it’s wording that has to do only with combined shipping (which I didn’t even ask for), at this point, since it’s Sunday anyway and this seller’s weak point is really the communication side, I’ll wait until Wednesday as it says there, then I’ll contact them. Anyway, as you say, since there’s no tracking or anything and the items show as shipped in the order details, I think that at least eBay would refund me.

·3 years agoBesides communication problems, this seller also needs to improve their knowledge of shipping.
Shipping 3 games is the equivalent of a posta1 shipment over 100 grams and probably a non-standard format, so he pays 5.50 euros for an untracked shipment at his own risk.
If he had added an extra euro or so, he could have used postedelivery web, which was a real courier with tracking.
Anyway, if you run into any problems with the delivery, feel free to write back on the forum, because you’ll always find someone who replies. 👍

OP3 years agoSo, first of all, thank you so much for the replies because you're the only one helping me. As for the packages, I actually don't know if there are 1, 2, or 3; I asked him and didn't get a reply. I simply got a private message about the item for xbox 360 (the one bought first while I was waiting for offers for the other 2 ps3) and the photo of an envelope with a post 1 tracking number (which says product not available, so at least that one is safe for now). For the package with the two ps3 games (or the two of them, who knows) I got nothing, or it could even be one with all three (in that case I'd be safe since I do in fact have the full tracking). Anyway, let's be patient, let's wait, the important thing is that it doesn't come to me having to give money away because post 1 always goes against the buyer, even in cases where they aren't trying to be clever. Anyway, I'm also attaching the photo from the "summary" instead of "purchase history", nothing strange here. In any case, doesn't it seem impossible to you that a package shipped on Thursday afternoon could already have been delivered on Saturday (a day when they don't even deliver)? To me it's either an ebay bug or it's a way of meaning something else, at least I hope so...

·3 years agoIt depends on the post times; there are users who are more active in the morning or in the afternoon, and others who, like me at one in the morning, are still reading and writing on the forum 😉
Anyway, I saw that the seller is a professional seller and has already left you feedback.
I also see that he makes a lot of sales every month, so maybe he can't take care of 100% of all the aspects of the sale that should be taken care of, but just focuses on the things he considers essential.
In my opinion he shipped everything in one padded envelope, so you will receive all 3 games together in a single shipment with posta1.
The only thing I recommend you do, if you can, is make sure someone is there when the mail carrier comes to deliver it.
This is because posta1 does not require a signature and the mail carrier might not even ring the intercom and could leave the envelope unattended on top of the mailbox or inside the apartment building entrance.
If you have any problems with the delivery, come back and write on the forum.
Best regards.
