Feedback, is it okay to leave feedback anonymously?
While making a purchase, I was checking a seller's feedback even though theirs appeared to be 100%. I was surprised to read that all of the 200+ feedback entries had a short positive comment but no description of the item purchased, and all were listed as "private purchase"; I've never seen or at least never noticed this. In your opinion, is this a proper or lawful attitude? Why leave a comment without showing your face? It's very convenient, but then it just so happens that anonymity is reserved for only one seller...
Speaking of feedback, I also wanted to comment on a comment left by someone on this forum who was complaining about the fact that as a buyer, after making a purchase and paying, he had not received the positive feedback he is "entitled" to. I've always wondered about this, and after a thousand purchases I found out why; the shady seller wants to have the upper hand and waits for your feedback in order to defend themselves against any unfortunate neutral or negative feedback...

·3 years agoGenerally, private feedback is used by those who sell special items (generally related to the private sphere), if the seller does not fall into one of these categories it’s better to steer clear because they could be fake feedback bought for a few pennies.
Obviously the ability to leave negative feedback for buyers has been removed because it was often used in retaliation.

The seller can't leave anything other than positive feedback... if ebay allows it to be left both before and after, it's just an optional choice of an optional judgment... but my question is, how do you "ascertain" that your reason is the right one?
It's just a subjective or personal opinion... nothing more...
As for private listings, ebay allows it, read here:

Kind regards.
