Deep fryer

I have an air fryer purchased in November 2021. How do I make use of the warranty? The seller seems to have vanished into thin air.

See if there’s any service center in Italy for this item.

If so, get in touch with them.

Also check whether there’s a service where you can send the broken item if the service center is too far from where you are.

To make a warranty claim, you need to get the payment you made for the purchase, PayPal or credit card, and the proof of purchase showing that you bought the xyz item on eBay.

In your email inbox you’ll find both the PayPal email and the eBay one.

Whereas if you paid by credit card, you need to check the statement on your bank’s website or on your smartphone app.

If the seller was a business with its registered office in an EU country:
- You can ask for the legal warranty to be applied, even with a formal notice letter.
- Since more than 6 months have passed, you will have to prove that it is a product defect and that the problem was not caused by improper use or maintenance.

If the seller is a private individual or from outside the EU, clean everything well and take it to a WEEE collection center.
