do not buy from this seller
Do not buy from this seller at all: ****. My item never arrived, with them claiming the address was unknown, but it was written clearly. The item had been sent back to them and meanwhile my money disappeared.. Be careful

·3 years agoIn the meantime, the seller has replied to your feedback:
"every buyer has the right to a replacement or a refund in the event of defective goods, you didn’t even contact us, this is feedback left out of spite, it will be reported to eBay"
You’d be better off contacting the seller to sort things out.
If you leave everything as it is and do nothing, you won’t be able to get any refund.
Best regards.

·3 years agoSorry, but that’s not his feedback; the negative one he left was removed by eBay. If you look at the reply you’re referring to, it’s for a user with 82 current feedback ratings, while the user in question has 1. If you go through the feedback received by this user, you can also see what the seller wrote to him.
Kind regards

·3 years agoTrue, looking again at the feedback area I see that it has been removed.
If they removed the feedback, it means that after refunding the buyer the seller sent a request to revise the feedback.
The matter therefore has been resolved without any serious injustice to the seller or the buyer.
Best regards.

Yes, certainly resolved, but now there is no longer any need for the revision request (previously it was sent to the buyer, who could accept it or not). EBay in the event of a refund removes the feedback automatically without consulting the buyer.
Best regards to you too

·3 years agoMaybe they have changed the way they handle feedback.......... sure the fact that the buyer was refunded because they correctly used eBay or Paypal’s procedures does not mean they would have been refunded without these protection tools and that therefore the seller would have behaved correctly.
Always removing negative feedback from sellers every time they refund ends up skewing their real behavior pattern, and leads future buyers (who will only see positive transactions) to believe that the sellers they came across are extremely fair.
Then it’s obvious that in certain cases sellers should have the negative removed, as in the case of a great history of positives and a transaction gone bad because of an unforeseen event or one difficult buyer who maybe even tries to take advantage by threatening negative feedback. In short, review requests should really be assessed carefully case by case without leaving anything to “blind” standard procedures!

·3 years agoIf the seller had been a private individual.
If the seller had not been subject to feedback
If the seller had been paid by bank transfer
If there had been no eBay buyer protection
VERY PROBABLY in 90% of cases the seller would not even have replied to us anymore.
But we can't leave negative feedback just because without eBay the seller would have behaved differently.....
Kind regards

I agree with you, but that wasn't what I meant in my reply; in fact, I wrote that each case should be assessed carefully, without leaving these judgments to blind automated procedures that don't evaluate the specific cases.
We both know very well that often the refund happens only because they are forced by eBay, otherwise they wouldn't give a damn, as they do on other less structured platforms, and if they tried to send non-compliant items or worse, scam the buyer, it's right that they receive 1 negative even in the event of a refund and that it stays because it's indicative of their behavior.
Then of course in some cases it's right to remove the negative, take the case of 1 new seller who made a mistake out of inexperience in the description or in filling out the listing, or external situations like shipping where the seller's conduct didn't have an effect, since they packed well, etc.

·3 years agoEbay removes negative feedback automatically when the buyer opens a dispute that is resolved positively with a full refund to the buyer.
In other cases the seller must contact an eBay representative to submit a feedback removal request.
A request that must meet certain requirements.
The eBay representative evaluates the situation, reads the correspondence and then asks the seller to sort out any kind of dispute still open with the buyer, after which they decide whether to remove the negative feedback (but it is not always certain or guaranteed that they will remove it, since it depends on the case).
I’ve been through these procedures myself, so I’m speaking from direct experience with eBay representatives.
On Amazon there are lots of users who get annoyed and irritated because the shipment was delivered 1 day late compared to the schedule.
These users leave 1-star negative reviews on the item’s review page that have nothing to do with the item’s actual rating.
If that’s anything to go by, I imagine the same thing happens on eBay, where buyers leave negative feedback that has little or nothing to do with the item or with the seller’s responsibility.
For this reason I believe eBay has decided to rethink the system for leaving negative feedback.
Every buyer who leaves negative feedback believes they are acting legitimately and honestly and without a shadow of a doubt believes that that feedback for the seller is more than deserved.
Negative feedback can be left (if it is not defamatory) in cases where the buyer does not explicitly ask for eBay’s intervention. If they choose to ask for eBay’s intervention, then they are subject to restrictions regarding leaving feedback.
At the moment this is what I’ve experienced; there is nothing official and there is no guide that explains in broad strokes what you can and can’t do, you try to figure out a bit how the feedback thing works through other means, putting the pieces together.

·3 years agoNot content with leaving him negative feedback for faults that weren't his
You're also defaming him publicly on the forum 😎
If the item was sent back to the seller because of an incorrect / incomplete address / recipient absent / storage / not picked up during storage, the fault is certainly not his.
Kind regards.

·3 years agoFirst of all, when you open a conversation here, you should read the message that appears, namely:
"This is a public forum - it is not permitted to post personal data such as names, financial information, addresses, email addresses, and phone numbers"
Then you need to act through the platform's procedures and open a dispute for item not received. If it's not your fault, eBay will refund you the full amount.
