Why doesn’t an error get resolved?
In any other circumstance there would have been, at the very least, an apology, but with ebay nothing like that happens; instead, the absurdity of an unjustified insistence continues.
The list of my purchases shows an item still to be paid: an order from November 13, 2020, which was clearly paid for and received. The seller can confirm what I am saying.
I have pointed this out to ebay several times, but nothing has been resolved and, as of today, August 10, 2024, the item that has been paid for and received is still shown as unpaid.
Any other organization would have apologized and corrected it, but not ebay. The only interaction I have had with these people was a phone call in which a girl with a blunt manner informed me that, according to her check, there are no purchases in 2020: I was almost one hundred.
If there are procedural errors on my part, I am more than happy to correct them (while speaking with someone less arrogant).
I would like to continue using ebay, but I am really tired of it.

·2 years agoRiro, think about the problem the Apollo 13 astronauts had. If instead of James Lowell it had been the three of us. I mean, heawenwelkin, me, and daxsisko, who first heard the strange noise and thought that one of the astronauts (Haise) had accidentally activated the cabin repressurization valve of the LEM. But he knew nothing about it.. so they called Houston base and the famous phrase was said: Houston, here Apollo 13, We have a problem ! The attempts to normalize the situation were made from the ground by mission control. This is to reassure you. As specified, there is no problem. Everything is fine, stay on the platform. ·2 years agoHonestly, I don’t see where the problem is, since you paid for and received the item as described.
You can keep using ebay even if the site has some BUGS, which are inevitable on such a large and complex platform that periodically introduces new features and/or replaces others.
Fixing a BUG is often by no means simple, quick, or even trivial.
When someone starts messing with the code behind a site like ebay, it has to be tested to verify that it works and doesn’t create further problems (maybe more serious than the problem that was meant to be fixed).
In my opinion, these unwritten rules are followed on ebay too....

·2 years agopremise the total insignificance of the problem..... (and anyway if you hadn't paid at the time you wouldn't have received the item.....) I see that after three years you're still on Ebay (see post of 15 / 01 / 2021)

It may simply have been the seller who didn't mark it, maybe because of a payment made outside the platform.
Anyway, honestly, I wouldn't make a big deal out of it.
