ebayextra points, 60-day expiry and warning email

Hello everyone...
I've been using ebayextra since it existed and I've noticed that lately it's gotten worse...
besides no longer receiving any offers for point doubling, for example, I no longer get the warning email for points expiring, do you get it??
Also, I read in previous discussions that the points expired after 90 days and that's how I remember it too because after 60 days the warning email would arrive and you had a month to make another purchase...
Now, however, the General Terms of Use say 60 days and not 90, when was the deadline changed? because I don't remember any email warning about the T&Cs change
Even points of mine were canceled, which I managed to get back after insisting...
Anyway, theoretically maybe today the expiring points email should have arrived... I didn't want to take the risk and made a purchase... do you get these damn emails?

You didn’t specify what happened though.
Were the points taken away from you before the actual expiration date?

expired points, I always used to get the email the last few times, the last one in August I even got 2 expiration emails...
this time no, no email and I didn’t notice so they expired a few days ago...
not a big deal, mind you, but it means that instead of pushing me to make purchases (as I would have done now) we’ll talk about it again whenever who knows...

·9 months agoAt the beginning, eBay points DID NOT EXPIRE, then as always happens someone abused the service (maybe making purchases for third parties), racking up a ton of points that never expired.
Unfortunately eBay is subject to periodic platform changes that don't come directly from Italy and then have to be tweaked and/or adapted to the Italian platform, so it often happens that with every new update BUGS and outages appear.
Probably also for the points issue regarding expiration alerts by email there were some problems with the updates, so it's a good idea to note the expiration dates somewhere and maybe also set a reminder.

·1 year agoIn my view, if eBay started out with the rule that points never expired and then had to change direction partway through, evidently there were buyers who were using the feature improperly.
To give a simple example: if a buyer, before the introduction of points, bought on eBay only occasionally, maybe a few hundred euros here and there, and then after the introduction of eBay Extra the same account starts buying items in a month for significant amounts (for example 5~ 10~15K), because they organize themselves to make purchases on behalf of third parties, and lots of users do this with points that never expire, imagine that by the end of the year an account accumulates, for example, 50,000 or 100,000 points, that's a lot of money and the matter starts to become significant....
this is where eBay has to patch things up.
In fact, eBay Extra was not removed, but the terms of use were changed.
eBay Extra (the word says it) is something extra, they could have removed it or they could have not done it; if they hadn't done it, no one would have complained...
So we just have to make do and thank the users who abused it.

I also fell victim to losing the points I had accumulated after 60 days of not using eBay, moreover, without any message being sent in the app.
These are things that leave a bad taste in your mouth, especially when you've been a loyal customer for over 18 years...
I would have appreciated, at the very least, a warning well in advance, but eBay has also lost a star...
What a shame!
