eBay intervention request
Good morning, I purchased a product through an Ebay store that broke after 6 months because it was defective. I contacted the seller directly and received no response. Basically, I do not feel protected in any way. How can I report this problem to Ebay Italy?

·3 years agoas anticipated by other forum users, it's useless to report it to Ebay, since the non-conformity (or the fault, if it was sold as working) has to be reported within 30 days of receiving the item;
Ebay's protection is still an extra safeguard, it doesn't change the fact that if the item still has a valid legal warranty in Italy - and, of course, if it has been used correctly: basically, it hasn't been damaged by the person who used it after purchase ) - , you can always try to enforce it (within the limits of what's possible...... )

That said, the warranty is only valid if certain conditions of use are respected.
Have you checked in the warranty conditions for your item whether there are terms for requesting assistance directly from the manufacturer?
If you have proof of purchase and/or an activation / registration code or other documentation for warranty purposes (to be assessed whether Italian, European or non-European), it is advisable to contact the manufacturer directly.
The fact that the seller does not respond to you may depend on the fact that it is an imported product or a non-original/official product.
When shopping on the internet, you always have to pay attention to what you buy and where you buy it, because the lowest price is not always synonymous with a good deal.
Kind regards.

·3 years agoIf the seller was Italian, you can file a report with AGCM (there are consumer protection authorities for the other EU countries too, but I don't know which ones).
For contacts with the consumer protection authority and for the online report form, go to the bottom and you'll find them at point 8 of this guide: https://www.agcm.it/pubblicazioni/dettaglio?id=411fd8e5-67bf-4163-a12d-8af10dfc351f&parent=Vademecum&parentUrl=/pubblicazioni/mini-guide

·3 years agoGood morning,
unfortunately you can't... after 6 months it is your responsibility to prove that the item was "defective"... it may also have been used incorrectly.
Kind regards.
