Is the refund issued for the total amount on the receipt or just for the item.
it depends....in short: on Ebay there are professional sellers and non-professionals ( so there are differences in the event of a return, and not only....) ..... if they issued a receipt, I imagine they are professional ( unless they are not registered as such..... );
once this first difference is made, the reason for the return has to be considered.... so depending on the type of return ( not as described, change of mind etc... ) the refund may vary....

·1 year agoWhat reason did you request a refund for?

On eBay, they always talk about return shipping costs, which can be your responsibility or the seller's depending on the case.
Kind regards.

·1 year agoIF requested with the correct procedure, the refund is equal to the total paid: item and shipping.
If it happens because of a seller error (defective or non-compliant item), the return shipping is also at the seller's expense.
If it happens because of a buyer error (change of mind, size exchange, etc.), the return shipping costs are at the buyer's expense.
