Shipping costs
When I put an item up for sale, I’m asked to enter, as the seller, the shipping costs. But based on what do I enter €1 or €5 or €10 or more as the value? Aren’t shipping costs fixed based on the parcel and set by the carrier? Why enter €1 rather than €10, or vice versa?

·2 years agoYou need to make an estimate based on the weight / volume of the item you’re selling, and you need to calculate it already packed and ready to ship.
To find out how much you’ll spend, you need to go to a shipping website and enter the parcel’s weight and measurements.

It costs you from about 5 euros and up......

·3 years agoThe answer seems quite simple to me: because that is the amount that YOU will pay to ship... which the buyer will of course pay you!
So if you enter €1 but spend €10, you can see the difference yourself, right?
So you need to find out in advance how much you spend to ship that particular item and enter that amount, keeping in mind that you will also pay eBay fees on that amount.

·2 years agoOf course, everything depends on the weight, but first you can check the costs by declaring them in the item you’re selling... For example, from 5 to 10 kg ... 8 euros - from 10 to 20kg 10 euros and so on ...you need to list the various shipping rates, or a plausible amount.
