Shipping cost scam for returning an item
Good evening everyone,
I have a problem with a purchase I made; I received an item that does not match the description. The seller accepted the return, and I received an email informing me that the seller will pay the shipping costs and that I need to get in touch, but the seller tells me to send it at my own expense. This is clearly a scam, also reading the negative comments left for this seller for the same reason. How should I proceed?

Let's say that the seller is simply trying.....
Send the seller an email stating your willingness to ship the item as per eBay rules.
The options are:
A) The seller sends you a prepaid shipping label (you will have to print it and attach it to the package)
B) The seller sends you the money so that you can purchase the label.
If the seller is not available for option A or option B, it would be best to contact support via chat or by phone.
In conclusion, if the seller does not cooperate and does not provide the shipping label, they will still have to refund you but give up the item (you also keep the item).
