Using discount coupon from mobile
Good morning,
I was buying an item from mobile and copied the coupon code into my clipboard. At checkout I wasn't asked for it, and in a fit of rage I even canceled the order (unfortunately my current financial situation forces me to watch every cent and the five-euro discount would have been ideal).
I tried to find in the app the section where to enter the discount code and place the order again but I couldn't find it. in a world where everything runs via mobile, this doesn't seem like a smart choice to me.
Forgive the rant.

Coupons on ebay are entered on the screen right before payment.
That would be the screen where you choose the payment method, confirm the shipping address, and check the total to pay.
If you paid without entering the coupon, it's NORMAL that you paid the full amount.
You should always check what the total to pay is before clicking PAY; if you see that the coupon hasn't been entered, don't proceed with payment.
As for your specific case, there aren't enough details to understand whether the coupon was valid only for mobile or whether it wasn't valid for your purchase category, had expired, or for some other reason.
It's true that everything runs on mobile, but mobile apps are full of COMPROMISES, especially on ebay, which is a rather complex platform and many functions have to be removed from mobile compared to the desktop version.
So next time, if you have trouble with the mobile browser version or the app, temporarily switch to desktop mode (you need to check your browser's view options).
Kind regards.

Kind regards.
