I should point out that I bought it on ebay, but upon delivery it was an Amazon courier with a sealed Amazon box

It can happen both correctly and incorrectly.

Correct if the seller has shops both on eBay and on Amazon and uses Amazon logistics, or if they use Amazon as a wholesaler in dropshipping with a regular supply contract.

Incorrect if the seller is a private individual who buys on Amazon after the sale and has it shipped to your address.
