Following negative feedback, they sued me in court
Hi everyone, after leaving negative feedback based on my awful experience with this seller: *** I first received at home the explicit request in chat to delete what I had written, then a letter from the lawyer with a deadline for the removal and finally a letter from the court where the sum of €500 is requested if I do not defend myself or do not get rid of the negative feedback.
I called customer service twice but they can’t do anything about it.
I can provide all the documents if necessary.
I look forward to your opinions, thanks in advance

Mentore3 years agoAlmost certainly the seller won't read this post....
But if they did, they could sue you for the second time. You need to try to understand what can be written in public posts and what cannot be done. In the rules of this forum:
Can I include another user's username or email address in a post?
No, you cannot include another user's username, contact information, or email address in a post. It is also not possible to include subject numbers, links, or negative or neutral Feedback scores for the purpose of discrediting another user.

Mentore3 years agoThe seller is in the right, your comment violates both eBay rules and the criminal laws on the offense of aggravated defamation.
You did not limit yourself to describing the transaction and instead wanted to give your own subjective opinion (not provable and not objectively assessable) of the seller's conduct or the goods they sell; in this way you harmed their honor by defaming them, with the aggravating factor of having done so in writing in a public place. That Sie sind den gezahlten Preis nicht wert could cost you dearly.
I think deleting the negative feedback is the least that can be done, but to do so (given that more than 6 months have passed) I think help from eBay customer service is necessary.
The letter you are talking about, if it is not a court order, is just a claim for damages from their lawyer and may not go any further if you quickly take steps to make up for the damage you have done.
I hope this post is useful to everyone who complains that some feedback is removed by eBay; often they do it only to protect users from worse trouble.

Mentore3 years agoA real round of applause to the seller for having had the time and the desire to take you to court over the feedback!
Ebay is not a game and if you behave a certain way you also have to take responsibility for your actions.
A real handshake to the seller!
Have a nice day.
