Combined shipments and refund

Good morning everyone and happy Sunday,
today I’m introducing myself as the “question-asker” because I have a case I’m not quite sure how to handle.
I sold 14 advertising inserts to a single buyer, but instead of buying them and asking me for the total, they already paid for each individual item with the relative shipping.
Now, first of all, I wouldn’t want to make 14 shipments (moreover, not tracked, because the buyer chose standard book rate), I’d like to make one tracked shipment that would still cost much less than the total resulting from the purchase, and I’d like to refund the difference.
Do you think this is possible?
In any case, eBay has grouped the 14 purchases into a single order and, in the order actions menu, there is also “Issue a refund”.
I’ve never done anything like this before; with this function, is it possible to specify the amount you want to refund?

obviously if the order has been combined you can make a single shipment.
The crucial step is to inform the buyer, explain to them that you will make a more secure shipment and that upon delivery you will refund them the difference in the payment.
Remember then to do it...

Obviously I was thinking of proceeding with the buyer’s authorization, as for the refund I was also thinking of doing it before shipping... do you think it’s better to wait until delivery is completed?

Mentore1 year agoThe refund is best done after delivery, when the transaction has been completed.
If you do it earlier, the system will not allow you to mark it as completed and it will appear as partially canceled.
