Accounts and payments suspended
I am a seller of digital items, two days ago my account was suspended for unspecified reasons, I was asked to provide proof of delivery or identification data, I sent my ID card and received a response saying that I would need positive reviews or confirmation of receipt from four customers. After receiving feedback from these four customers I mention this via email. Today, however, I find myself with a list of at least 40 order numbers from which I need to receive feedback to unlock my account, which is impossible since some are orders from two or three months ago, so most of them will never respond. Complaining about this by email, I am told that I must receive feedback from ALL customers and that there is no alternative.
I have 500 euros blocked on the eBay account

Mentore2 years agoHad you thought about the fact that maybe you needed permits to start an online business?
You knew perfectly well that you couldn't sell those things. On Fortnite there's a list of authorized vbuck sellers in Italy and it also says that they aren't transferable afterward.
Unfortunately your troubles won't end here, also remember that in a few days you'll be reported to the tax agency under the DAC7 regulation. Probably you'll have to give them explanations too regarding your activity.

OP2 years agoTo be honest, I didn’t know I couldn’t sell these items, since I copied word for word another seller’s listing, and they had been selling long before I did.

If on the highway someone overtakes you racing at 200 miles an hour, does that authorize you to go that fast too?
Some arguments are senseless and incomprehensible!

Mentore2 years agoThe fact that you didn’t know it can’t be used in your defense. The fact that someone goes 180 on the highway does not authorize you to follow their example.
The block will be between 6 and 13 months, until ebay has security that there can be no chargebacks.

OP2 years agoIt wasn't meant as an excuse, it was just in response to the phrase "You knew full well that you couldn't sell those things." The law is the same for everyone, I'm not saying otherwise. But simply, if I see another 50 listings on eBay with maybe 20 or 30 sold orders already, it doesn't occur to me that selling that product on eBay isn't allowed. That's all

If it states that it is forbidden to sell a certain type of item... saying that others do it too, seems to me like a real justification.

OP2 years agoNo, I didn’t read the rules and I know I was wrong as I wrote above, but I ask that my words not be misrepresented. I said that I didn’t know those items couldn’t be sold because, by opening Ebay and searching for them in the search bar, they came up, and they still do, lots of identical items. I never said, nor did I mean to say, that if others do it then I can do it too. Never said that.
I repeat, I’m the one in the wrong, but what I said is different.

OP2 years agoIt would simply have been enough to say, "Even if Ebay doesn’t explicitly write it in the email, you can’t sell those items."
Who would ever have expected that on Ebay Community, a forum where in theory you should get help from more experienced sellers, instead you only get passive-aggressive replies and attitudes.

as a private seller you will never be able to get authorization from ebay to sell items in digital format.

OP2 years agoThe fact is that I was not challenged on the sale of digital products; on the contrary, I was told by email that since they are digital products it’s obvious that I can’t include tracking to verify receipt.
The problem is not the suspended account, but the money that was blocked for me
