Hacked account and payment request for ads

Hello everyone,
my wife was hacked a few days ago and unfortunately we weren’t fast enough to recover her account. It wasn’t really a big problem, the hacker created several listings but then, because of reports, the account was blocked.
Now eBay is asking me to pay the cost of the premium/visibility options that the hacker used to highlight his listings, they keep sending reminders but I don’t know what amount we’re talking about (I can no longer access her account...) and I don’t know how to proceed. eBay says in its email that "The debt collection agency will charge you the cost of recovering unpaid eBay fees. This cost varies depending on the amount owed and may be added to the fees due."
I just hope that for a few euros in fees I won’t end up having to pay a few hundred euros in extra charges...
Can anyone help me in any way?
