Account inaccessible via Facebook
Hello everyone,
I would appreciate your support with some issues that arose today on my Ebay account, which I have used for years by logging in through Facebook. I was already logged in when I tried to send a message to a seller, but the system asked me to log in again as if it ignored the fact that I was already in the account; at that point I pressed the ''Log in with Facebook" button, but then the unexpected happened: a window opened with this warning written on it: "URL blocked. This redirect failed because the redirect URI was not added to the whitelist in the app's OAuth client settings. Make sure OAuth client access and web access are enabled and add all app domains as valid OAuth redirect URIs." I am left bewildered, not knowing what happened or what I can do. I close that warning, log out of Ebay completely and try to log back in, but at that point it no longer lets me access my account, meaning that as soon as I try to log in through Facebook that warning appears again. Now I am writing this message through a new Ebay account registered using my Gmail address.
Does anyone have any idea what may have happened and what can be done to get back into the account? As you can imagine, I have ongoing contact with some Ebay sellers and at the moment I have no way to send them messages. Thank you for your attention.

OP2 years agoThanks so much Mario, I spoke on the phone with customer service and the person who answered me was really kind and helped me solve the problem by having me reset the Ebay password using Chrome's incognito browsing function. They explained that after years of automatic login through Facebook, the system probably wanted to verify ownership of the account through a login with email and password.
