Permanent suspended account and suspended payments
Summary: The discussion covers the permanent suspension of an account and related payments. Several participants weigh in on the issue, but the specific details of the conversation are not provided.
Hello good evening, they suspended one of my accounts on eBay (not this one) and they told me it will be permanently suspended, meaning I will never be able to use the account again.
I had completed 10 sales in the space of 2 weeks, paid for and therefore delivered right away to the buyers, totaling earnings of €1400.
Today, however, they send me an email after I called eBay customer service and they wrote to me that they will keep the funds for up to 170 days or more due to compliance issues..
Then I see that on my account, instead of one date, another date is being put for the release of my sales.
For example, on Dec 4, 2024 I had sold an item and it said that the available funds were unlocked on Dec 19, 2024
once delivered and everything, now it says instead that the money is unlocked on Jan 4, 2025, that is, after a month..
So now what happens, will I no longer have my money?

Mentore1 year agoGiven the 34 items sold by this account, it’s also at risk.
An activity like this is not compatible with private seller status and, as provided by the DAC7 regulations, at the end of January 2025, ebay will have to report your name to the tax authorities.
If you were also selling similar items with the account they suspended, the time for payments to be credited will certainly be very long.

Mentore1 year agoIf you don’t provide the requested information, they will keep payments on hold for as long as the law allows (170 days). Account suspension is a serious decision, which is only taken after repeated warnings and reminders. Using other accounts could make the situation worse.

OP1 year agoDear, they haven't asked me for any information so far, but they changed the expected order dates, putting a month—how come, when they keep them for 170 days??
