Suspicious eBay account

Hello, is it possible to verify that an eBay account is real and not created just for scams? Can you ask eBay itself to do a check somehow? A gentleman from Canada wants to buy one of my items, but I can't see his feedback in detail, which I can do with all the other accounts .. since we're not talking about small amounts of money I want to be sure everything is ok.
