Buyer requests a refund by making a false claim
Hello, I sold an item as described, ''non-working for spare parts,'' also attaching detailed photos of the fault. I meticulously explain what is wrong with the item in question, and the buyer decides to purchase it.
As soon as the buyer received the item, dissatisfied, they ask for a return, making a false claim, saying that some pieces were missing.
Does this seem normal to you? Is there a way to defend myself? I also tried contacting eBay but they are not answering me. I have proof in the messages with the attached photos. The buyer in question gives the impression of not being very bright. I really hope there is a solution, I absolutely do not want the item I sold back.

Mentore3 years agoGood morning,
if the buyer opens a return request for an item not as described (whatever the reason may be... even if you do not agree with that reason), unfortunately you do not have many alternatives... otherwise you risk losing both money and the item.
In these cases, photos and images are of no use; it will simply be your word against the buyer's and generally ebay sides with the buyer.
One honest piece of advice is not to delay and therefore try to minimize the damage by arranging the pickup at your own expense.
It's annoying, but you seriously risk losing... as already said... money and the item.
Kind regards.
