Buyer falsely claims about the item received
Hello, I have a small problem that I would like you to help me solve.
A few days ago I sold 3 collectible cards via auction to a Spanish user.
Even before paying, he had made a fuss because he complained about the combined shipping costs, which I had had to increase for him because he had won 3 auctions and not just one........the fact is that after receiving the package he claims that I did not send him all 3 cards but only 2 and wants a refund.
It is all clearly false because I sent all 3 cards, but now how do I prove to eBay that I sent him all 3 cards as I was supposed to?
He keeps claiming that only 2 arrived, and I only have the postal shipping receipt as proof.
Thanks to anyone who can help me

Mentore2 years agoIf he opens a return procedure and claims he received two, you’ll be forced to refund him.
I didn’t understand why you charged him higher shipping costs for three cards, for you there was no difference in cost between shipping one card and shipping 3. With these premises, it only creates a feeling of retaliation that is absolutely not correct, but that will force you to compromise and offer him a partial refund.

OP2 years agothe shipping costs that were included in the various auctions only concerned one card
since he won 3 cards at auction I had to increase the shipping costs because obviously shipping one card has a cost while shipping 3 has another one.........and of course I’m not going to be the one left out of pocket for the shipping costs
but aside from this I find it SURREAL that someone can completely make up out of thin air that they did not receive something that they actually did receive just to steal money from poor people who are only trying to behave as best they can
it’s absurd that after doing everything carefully and attentively one should also have to defend oneself from the inventions of outright scammers

Mentore2 years agoGood morning,
you can't prove anything... so if they open a return request for an item that doesn't match, all you can do is pick it up at your own expense and then refund them... no point spending money on a pickup since they won't give you anything back... so it's better to refund voluntarily to avoid defects on your account.
Kind regards.

OP2 years agohi and thanks for the reply
no, he requested a partial refund of 42 euros for the card that he claims I did not send him out of a total order of 99 euros including shipping costs, and the dispute he opened is for item not received, limited only to the card he claims he did not receive

Kind regards.
