Good morning,I’d like to report a situation that I consider unfair and ask the community for an opinion.A buyer purchased and paid for one of my items. Right after the purchase, they asked me to cancel the order, with unfounded reasons, and I refused because I was already preparing the shipment. I shipped it normally within the expected timeframe.The package was delivered and the buyer stated that they hadn’t even opened the item, but they still opened a dispute for “item not as described”.In reality, it was just a change of mind, but eBay decided to refund the buyer anyway, despite the violation of the rules.It seems to me like a clear abuse of buyer protection, because:The item was new and as described;The buyer admitted they hadn’t even opened it;The dispute was opened with a false reason.I’m asking whether other sellers have had similar experiences and whether there are effective tools to protect oneself in these cases.Thanks in advance to anyone who replies.
