Buyer wins auction but has incomplete address, what should I do and what should he do?
A buyer has just won one of my auctions but I noticed that they have an incomplete address without a street number. I looked up the place on Google Maps and it’s a street full of huge condo complexes. As you know, when printing the shipping label the address gets "saved" into the barcode and the courier could very well ignore my notes, stick to the info provided by the barcode, and not deliver the package. How should I proceed? Can the buyer change their address after the shipment has been made without canceling the entire sale?

OP2 years agoSorry, I meant *transaction completed, not shipment completed.

Mentore2 years agoUnfortunately, to change the address, you would have to cancel and then the buyer would have to repeat the purchase.
Check with him and maybe add both the street number and the buyer's phone number in the notes.
I would involve him in the decision, since he would be the main person responsible if the goods did not arrive.
