In September I bought a cell phone as NEW to give as a gift to a child with health problems, package arrived intact and sealed with transparent film, so I took it for granted that it was new and unfortunately, since it had to be gifted, it was not opened and used right away.
Alas, we have reached the end and after several attempts to use it, having to take it to service, they told us that the phone is not new but rather REFURBISHED and with the screen replaced.
Now, getting to the heart of the matter, I want to inform the top eBay management about this company that scams customers by selling refurbished products as new.

Mentore1 year agoThe crux of the matter is that ebay doesn’t sell anything.
Each individual seller is responsible for what they sell. If you believe that what you received does not match what was described in the listing, ebay will assist you (for 30 days from delivery) and will require the seller to take the item back at their own expense and refund you.

OP1 year agoYeah, unfortunately I know, the problem is that the time limit has passed because it was a gift given after the 30-day period. The seller has been contacted and in their replies they’re pretending nothing happened, which is disappointing.
I’d name the seller here in the chat, but it’s not legal.
I just wanted to warn about what happened and see if it had happened to anyone else in the community.
