purchased a Windows 11 license that was removed and the code received had already been used and therefore could not be activated. it's the third rip-off in a short time that I've gotten on eBay and I don't see any way to resolve the problems, not protecting buyers. I have over 2000 purchases but lately I've been distancing myself from it

Mentore2 years agoIn fact, on eBay it is forbidden to sell licenses sent by email from uncertified sellers... and consequently also to buy them!
You have to pay attention to what you buy and where you buy it... and what eBay guarantees and what it doesn't!
Kind regards.

OP2 years agotoo complicated and too little protection for customers; once I used to make dozens of purchases a week, now just one every so often, I’ve moved to platforms that protect customers better. this was a kid selling reused licenses, he refunded me only because I work for the police in server installations. I regularly buy used licenses and it’s perfectly legal, court rulings have clarified that if someone removes a license from a PC they can resell it regularly. I made a purchase like I normally do, I don’t feel like asking a lawyer whether the sale is legitimate, it’s quicker for me to go elsewhere.
The problems on eBay are: invoices that never arrive, short sales, meaning without having the product and blaming the delay on the courier, sellers who don’t deliver in short, something else is better

Mentore2 years agoThe same problems are also found on other platforms, if not worse.
You simply have to be careful with online purchases; if you obviously need an invoice, you must be aware that you are buying from and explicitly ask for it from a professional EU seller. If the item doesn't arrive, eBay has clear and simple procedures to protect you; you just need to be willing to look for them in the help pages that eBay makes available to everyone.
Have a good Sunday.

Mentore2 years agoWhat you say is true, but, since ebay cannot check whether everyone who sells digital products has the rights to do so, it has decided to impose contractual limits.
Only verified sellers can sell digital content on ebay. Only these sellers are authorized to send via email; everyone else is forced to use fake shipping or in-person delivery.
Obviously, purchasing with these false shipments is also prohibited and no protection is provided in case of problems.
