Are purchases on eBay covered by a 2-year legal warranty????
I bought some USB sticks a few months ago and after they worked for a while, then suddenly they don't work anymore. I wrote to the seller but he is turning a deaf ear, and eBay does the same when I contact them. I don't want refunds or to make returns, I just want to enforce the legal warranty.

Mentore1 month agoIf you are referring to the purchase made from jodhstore, you will see that on every listing the notice appears: Registered as a private seller Therefore consumer rights arising from European legislation do not apply. The eBay Money Back Guarantee is still applicable to most purchases.

Mentore1 month agoEbay doesn’t sell anything, so it is not required to guarantee items purchased on the platform. eBay customer guarantee is an additional guarantee and covers a strictly limited period to assess whether the item received corresponds or not to the listing.
The legal guarantee you mention instead is an obligation for professional sellers with registered offices in an EU country; sellers outside the EU or private individuals are not required to give any guarantee.
