Purchase from a professional seller, arrived without receipt
Hi everyone, I bought a new console from a professional seller, received it very quickly, tried it and it works, but there’s no receipt inside the box.
Obviously that’s not normal, especially because if I had any problems with the console I’d have to show the receipt as proof of purchase in order to access the warranty. On Friday I tried writing to the seller saying exactly that the receipt was missing, and so far there’s been no reply, which is strange because before buying, when I asked questions about the product, he replied quickly. What do you recommend I do? Should I keep waiting or report the issue?
For an item that costs a certain amount, the receipt is something essential for warranty purposes...

Mentore3 years agoIn distance selling, all payments are tracked. So there are no obligations to issue tax documentation; it is issued only upon the buyer’s specific request.
As Sika told you, for the legal guarantee your only counterpart is the seller.

Mentore3 years agoOn the other hand, when buying online it's completely normal... not all sellers also have a physical store... and if you don't have a physical store, how can they give you a receipt?
So it was your responsibility to ask the seller for information BEFORE buying... and if you needed a fiscal document, you had to make an explicit request and provide your details so it could be issued!
You should NEVER take it for granted that online purchases are identical to purchases made in a store!
Now, if you have problems, you'll have to contact the seller directly to make use of the warranty... you have no alternatives and you can't report anything...
Best regards.
