Good morning, on November 29 I bought a Cacharel perfume for my wife, paid €120; the product arrived and seemed original in all its features, I was just waiting for the holidays to give it to her. But in the meantime the seller closed the account on the platform. After the holidays, precisely on January 9, I received an email from eBay saying that the product could not be sold because it was considered harmful to health, according to an EC Europe safety alert communication that provided for a sales ban dated 3/10/23, so much earlier than my purchase. As instructed by eBay, I contacted the service company, namely PayPal, which after a few days replied that my request had been rejected because it reached them after 30 days from the purchase and therefore they refused the refund. My question is: if I had had a crystal ball or if eBay had informed me in time, would I have lost €120, in their opinion? I’m also asking that branch to which PayPal belongs, namely that chain that promises you everything when you pay but then waits for a loophole to screw you over. What should I do? How can I get this situation to eBay, since there is no email and the various inquiries don’t even remotely mention my problem? I think I’ll have to turn to a lawyer.

Mentore1 year agoSurely the seller's account was closed by eBay, also because new perfumes can't be sold with a private account.
You can do a chargeback with your credit card.
