Buying spare parts in England
How do I find out the customs fees and the various taxes to pay on an item purchased in England? Does eBay calculate them in the shipping? Or when the item arrives in Italy do I have to pay other taxes? Thanks

this topic has been extensively discussed on the forum; with a simple search, you would have found the solution...
So, to sum up, it depends on the shipping the seller uses, which takes advantage of the GSP program; import fees should be paid in advance... as should VAT.
If that is not the case, expect to pay them upon delivery... but expect to pay additional charges, because it depends on the carrier that will handle the delivery.
So, to sum up, you will have to pay:
- customs duties (if the value including shipping exceeds €150)
- VAT
- customs charges
- any other carrier charges.
Impossible to calculate them beforehand, but keep in mind an average ranging from 20 to 40%.
Obviously, this reasoning applies to items that can be imported.
