Incorrect charge of €21 for shipment redirection (BRT via Packlink)
Summary: geniusprints reports an issue of an unauthorized charge of 21 euros for a shipping redirection service via Packlink using BRT. No response or solution is discussed in the thread.
Dear Community,
I would like to report an unjustified charge of €21 related to the redirection of a shipment handled through the eBay Packlink service, with carrier BRT.
The parcel was supposed to be delivered to the dormitory at Johannes-R.-Becher-Straße 9, Leipzig (Germany), an address correctly indicated on the order. However, the carrier did not complete the delivery and redirected the parcel on its own to an NKD FermoPoint at Zwickauer Str. 127, 04279 Leipzig, about 300 meters away — so there was no real obstacle or difficulty in making the delivery.
This decision was never requested or authorized by me.
I therefore believe the €21 charge is unjustified, since there was no responsibility on my part or error in the destination address. The service failure is solely attributable to the carrier.
I have already filed a complaint with Packlink, but I have not received a response or a satisfactory solution.
I therefore ask for your advice and support on how to obtain:
full reimbursement of the amount charged (€21);
verification of the responsibilities of Packlink and BRT for the incorrect handling of the delivery.
I find it unacceptable that a parcel destined for a correct and easily reachable address was diverted without reason, with the resulting charge being passed on to the recipient.
I look forward to your suggestions or similar experiences.
Thanks in advance for any help! 🙏
Kind regards,
