Cancelled
On Friday, May 15 I made a purchase, but I immediately realized I had made a mistake. The mistake was clicking buy it now instead of adding the item to the cart so I could pay for it in installments. I promptly canceled the order, but as of today I have not received any response. Not even to the messages I sent directly to the seller. How should I handle this?

Mentore4 months agoYou cannot have canceled any order.
Only the seller has the authority to do so following your request, but remember that they are under no obligation to do so!
So, if it was your mistake, take responsibility for it and don’t pass it on to the seller if they don’t cancel the order for you.
Kind regards.

OP4 months agoDo I even have to take responsibility for my actions? And what did I do that was so serious? What kind of response is that.

OP4 months agoI haven't committed any crime that I need to take responsibility for. But then what exactly, sorry? Anyway, eBay customer service told me that if he doesn't accept the cancellation, once the goods are delivered to me, I won't have to do anything other than send it back.

Ordering an item and paying for it is still a responsibility, or do you order and pay just like that, just for the sake of it?
Anyway, eBay customer service told me that if he doesn’t accept the cancellation once the goods are delivered to me, all I’ll have to do is send it back.
Even greater responsibility because you don’t know that on eBay it doesn’t work like that, and that support shines for misinformation, if the seller is a private individual who doesn’t accept returns when the item arrives, you keep it.
If you send it back without the seller accepting a return, you lose the item and the money.
Isn’t that a responsibility in your opinion?

OP4 months agoMeanwhile, he hasn’t replied to me, and let alone sent anything. So if he doesn’t send me anything, I lose the money because the responsibility is mine? Come on, give me a break

It could also be an untraceable shipment

So far we've talked about the fact that the seller doesn't accept cancellation and sends you the item.
On eBay there are many private sellers who don't accept returns.
If you send it back because you don't want it and you do it without authorization from the seller, yes, you lose the money and the item, is that so hard to understand?
