Order cancellation
Hello, I bought an item from America!! Paid with PayPal. The problem is that I realized that with the exchange rate plus VAT, the amount I paid has shot up to the stars!! So I asked the seller to cancel my order because I can't afford such a high amount!! The seller didn't reply, so I opened a dispute on PayPal to get my money back!! After a long time the seller replies and says that he can't cancel the sale because it has been left on hold due to the PayPal dispute and to contact eBay directly!! The problem is that I don't understand how to contact eBay because there's no way!! And I asked the seller if reversing the payment with PayPal would then automatically cancel the order, but he doesn't reply!! I don't know what to do to solve the problem!! I also apologized for the inconvenience, but the amount is really too high!!

Mentore2 years agoTo solve the problem, it would have been enough to pay attention BEFORE buying, not after!
By opening a dispute on Paypal you made a big mistake, since you prevented and blocked any possible action by the seller and also disproportionately lengthened the response times.... then, a dispute for what??
eBay support can’t assist you with complaints on Paypal, you need to contact the latter.
Also, the seller can’t act directly on Paypal, because you paid ebay, not the seller directly!
Kind regards.

OP2 years agoI know, in fact it was my mistake!! I’m usually always precise!! But this time I messed up!! I’ll try contacting PayPal to see if it can be resolved somehow!!

OP2 years agohi, the seller told me that they managed to accept the order cancellation, but that it will take a few days, however I haven't received any cancellation email. I wanted to know if that's normal, and whether the email also takes a few days. I'm not very experienced, fortunately because this is the very first time I've found myself in this situation, thanks

Mentore2 years agoThe communication between Paypal and ebay takes about 20 days... so you have to be a bit patient...
Kind regards.
