Order cancellation
Good evening,
I sold an item that I now need to refund in full (I have not shipped it yet). When proceeding with the cancellation, it appears that part of the total price paid by the buyer will be charged to my account, even though my (pending) balance is obviously the total amount the buyer paid for this item. Why is it not possible to refund the full amount using the balance funds? Will I get back the money I advance?
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies

OP2 years agoGreat, thanks. If, as I understand it, I’ll then receive a refund of whatever is charged to my account, there are no problems.
Thanks

Mentore2 years agoThere may not be enough money in your account for the refund, since ebay has already deducted its fees.
You're a new or infrequent seller, so the rest of the payment is on hold for 15 days.
You'll need to advance the refund with a credit card and then, when the hold has expired, they'll credit you the payment and finally the ebay fees.

OP2 years agoSo if I understood correctly, by proceeding with the refund I’ll be charged the selling fees on a credit card and then they’ll be credited back to me once the suspension has expired?
Thanks
