I won an auction for a guitar amplifier made by a German user. I’m Italian. I didn’t realize he didn’t want to ship it and only wanted local pickup. He lectured me because I hadn’t read carefully...but it wasn’t specified in the listing text. So I suggested sending a courier to pick it up from him. The problem is that this item is very heavy (42kg) and would need to be placed on a pallet. In the meantime the system was blocked and even now I still can’t send the auction amount. How do you get out of this? Given the way the guy acted, I don’t intend to go any further. I also tried contacting ebay and they advised me to cancel...thanks for any advice/suggestions. PS: shouldn’t the system also tell you when you place the bid that shipping isn’t available? Then, if the item hasn’t been shipped, as in my case, shouldn’t it be easy and painless for everyone to cancel the transaction?

Mentore11 months ago... if you don’t pay, the seller will cancel the sale, but will report you as a non-paying user.
The first report has no effect, but be careful not to get any more.
Each listing clearly specifies the type of shipping that will be used, including local delivery of the item.

Mentore11 months agoNo, it's your responsibility to read the terms of sale, always stated in every listing.
Have a good evening.

Mentore11 months agoThen don't pay, the seller will be the one to cancel the transaction otherwise they are forced to pay the percentage due on the sale to eBay.
