Cancel an order
I bought an electric scooter for 169 euro, it didn't say that I would have to pay 140 for customs clearance, I just found out now because I received an email from the courier. I want to not have it delivered and cancel the order and ask for a refund, how do I do that? Thanks

Mentore8 months agoYou can't refuse to collect the parcel along with payment of the customs fees.
If you do, you lose the parcel and any right to a refund.
When you make a purchase in a non-EU country, you should already know that you are responsible for importing it into the EU and that then you have to pay taxes, etc...
In your case, for sure, between the item and shipping, the cost was over 150 euros and therefore VAT could not be collected directly by eBay.
The courier asks you to pay the duties, VAT and its fees. If you don't do it, you lose everything.
