I want to bring up an unpleasant incident here and ask for your opinion. I put an 8-year-old laptop up for sale; back then the technology was not what it is today and the batteries held just enough, about an hour or so.After two weeks, the buyer asked me for a return for "DEFECTIVE ITEM" saying that the battery was defective. Instead, that is specific to the item itself: I stated that the battery was good and still held a charge, but you certainly can’t expect someone to specify how long it lasts.It’s like saying someone returns a 1980 car because it uses more fuel than a 2024 one. I told the buyer and EBAY that I would accept the return for UNWANTED ITEM.Ebay sided with the buyer, who also made fun of me. But is that possible?? Is that seriousness and protection for the seller?
