Good morning everyone.On May 28, I placed an order from the seller in France. Two days later I was sent this shipping code: LE183101033FR by La Poste.The package should have arrived at my address in Sardinia by June 5.On June 10 the tracking system showed that the package had been delivered, and I complained because nothing had reached me.The eBay site issued a refund but the seller turned a deaf ear.Yesterday, using a more effective international tracking system than La Poste, I discovered that the package was sent to the wrong address (in the United States, in Connecticut!).I complained to the seller, asking him to recover the package and get it to me, and in response he told meBonjour, Votre commande a été remboursée et clôturée.I believe this is not acceptable, because the moment the seller receives my money, the item becomes my property and whoever sells it is only its custodian.He should therefore have taken care of it and diligently made sure it was delivered to me. If he did not, he is responsible for negligence, failure to safeguard the item, and perhaps even receiving stolen goods and theft, if he refuses to recover it.The refund of the purchase does NOT cancel his responsibilities, because the value of the item, once it is my property, is for me to determine!What can be done in this case? Put the matter in the hands of a lawyer?
