Item not shipped, but it shows as shipped

Good morning
I made a purchase on 08/03/2025; the item was marked as shipped on 11/03/2025. After 2 weeks, having not received it, I contacted the seller, who told me there had been problems and that I would receive it during the week; another 10 days pass, I contact the seller again, who writes back that he had problems with the supplier, and that I would receive the shipping code from eBay. As of today, a month has passed and I have not received anything; today I open a dispute; the seller apologizes and tells me that if I agree, within 2/3 days he will ship the item, but I have to close the dispute, otherwise, by 6 p.m. today he will proceed with canceling the order and will issue the refund. I replied that, before closing the dispute, I need to be sure that I will receive the order
How should I proceed? I’m also kind of fed up; maybe it’s better to get the refund and order from another more reliable seller

The open dispute does not in any way limit the seller, so close the dispute only when you have received the item or the refund.

OP1 year agoI wanted to add another detail that isn’t clear to me: how is it possible that, in the tracking, the item shows as shipped on 11/03/2025 if, in reality, it was never shipped
